How to prepare Banana flower vada

Banana flower is rich in vitamin A and C. It is good especially for ladies. Using this flower, making vada is very tasty and healthy. But we have to clean this flower. Inside, we have to take the stem with bud and transparent leaf. Otherwise, the it will make bitter taste. It is the best combination with evening tea. Let's prepare the tasty and healthy Banana flower vada. You can also view Dal vada.

Cooking time : 3 Mins
Serve for : 4 Persons
Ingredients :
 
                                       

Banana flower : 1 No
Chana dal : 1/2 Cup
Fennel seeds : 2 Tsp
Red chilly : 10 Nos
Garam masal powder : 1 Tsp
Salt : As per taste
Onion : 2 Nos
Garlic : 5 Nos
Curry leaves : Few
Method :
Soak the chana dal for 15 minutes. Clean the banana flower and grind.
Grind soaked chana dal, red chilly, fennel seeds well.
Add chopped onion, garlic, curry leaves,garam masala powder, salt with ground paste and mix well.
Make lemon size balls in the ground mix and press smoothly and make like vada.
Heat oil in a pan, fry the vada till it become golden brown.
After fry well, transfer to the serving dish and serve hot.

How to prepare Brinjal rice (Vangi bath)

When we got fresh brinjal, i think  to prepare different menu using brinjal. Then, my sister and  i decided to prepare brinjal rice. It is so nice and spicy. For preparing this, we need fresh and young brinjals. This is prepared with cooked rice and it is very simple rice recipe. Let's prepare the tasty spicy 'Brinjal rice'.
Basic information :
Preparation time : 20 Mins
Serve for : 4 Persons
Ingredients :

Brinjal : 1/4 Kg
Cooked rice : 1 Cup
Cumin seeds : 1 Tsp
Onion : 1 No
Curry leaves : Few
Salt : As per taste
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
For grind 
Chana dal : 2 Tsp
Urad dal : 2 Tsp
Grater coconut : 1/2 Cup
Coriander seeds : 2 Tsp
Red chilly : 4 Nos
Method :
Cut the brinjal in cubes or slices, add turmeric powder and salt and fry it.
Fry the grind ingredients and grind as powder after cooing.
Heat oil in kadai, add cumin seeds. After the seeds flutters, add sliced onion, curry leaves and fry well.
Add fried brinjal, ground powder and cooked rice. Mix well with adding salt. After mixing well, transfer to the serving dish and serve hot with pickle or any curries.

How to prepare Paneer butter masala

Paneer butter masala is one of the very tasty North Indian recipe. This can be serve as a side dish for paratha, roti, naan. It is prepared with cubed paneer, butter and onion tomato gravy. It is a protein rich recipe which can be prepared easily and quickly. If we want to fry the paneer, we can, but i dont like to fry it. So i am using without frying it. Let's prepare the tasty Paneer butter masala.
Basic information :
Preparation time : 10 Mins
Cooking time : 15 Mins
Serve : 4 Persons
Ingredients :

Paneer : 200 Gm
Butter : 2 Tsp
Fennel seeds : 1/2 Tsp
Onion : 1 No
Ginger : Small piece
Garlic : 5 Pieces
Tomato puree : 1 Cup
Cumin powder : 1/2 Tsp
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Chilly powder : 1 Tsp
Coriander powder : 1 Tsp
Curry leaves : Few
Coriander leaves : Few
Salt : As per taste
Sugar                     :  1 Tsp
For white cream
Cashew nut            : 5 Nos
Milk                       : 1/2 Glass
Method :
Grind onion, ginger garlic as a paste. soak cashews in milk for 5 minutes and grind as paste. Cut the paneer as cube and put it in water till it use. Heat a kadai, add butter. Add fennel seeds. After the fennel seed flutters, add ground onion paste and fry till the raw smell goes.
Add tomato puree and fry well. Add all the masala powders, salt, sugar and fry well. Add water till the raw smell goes.
Add white cream  paste.  (Adding cashew paste is to avoid the sourness of the tomato). After the raw smell goes, add cubed paneer and stir smoothly.
Keep it in low flame for 2 minutes and transfer to the serving dish and serve hot with naan or roti.

French beans is the most healthy vegetable. French beans is rich in iron which helps to increase hemoglobin count and provides energy to the body. Ingredients :
French beans : 1/4 Kg
Onion : 1 No
Curry leaves : Few
Tomato : 1/2 No
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Chilly powder : 1 Tsp
Grated coconut : 1/2 Cup
Mustard : 1/4 Tsp
Salt : As per taste
Oil : 2 Tsp
Method :
Wash the beans and cut in medium pieces. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard. After mustard pops, add chopped onion, curry leaves and fry. Add chopped tomato and fry well.
Add cut beans, turmeric powder, chilly powder, salt and stir.
Add little water and close the pan. After 10 minutes cooking, the beans will be cooked. Now, add grated coconut, stir well and transfer to the serving dish and serve hot with chapathi or side for rice.

How to prepare Coconut rice

Coconut rice is a South Indian coconut flavored rice. It is prepared with coconut milk in presser cooker. It can be prepared with grated coconuts also. That is simple coconut rice recipe. I am cooking rice with adding coconut milk and it will gives more tasty to the rice. I am using jeera rice (Jeerahasamba) we can use basmathi rice also. Coconut rice can be have with either thick gravy, pickle, puthina chutney or without any side dish. Let's prepare the tasty Coconut rice.
Basic information :
Preparation time : 15 Mins
Cooking time : 20 Mins
Serve : 4 Persons
Ingredients :

Jeer rice : 1 Cup
Coconut  : 1 No
Bay leaf : 1 No
Cinnamon : 2 Nos
Cardamon : 2 Nos
Cloves : 4 Nos
Onion : 1/2 no
Green chilly : 3 Nos
Chopped ginger : 1 Tsp
Curry leaves : Few
Coriander leaves : Few
Mint leaves : 3 Leaves
Salt : As per taste
Oil or ghee : 3 Tsp
Method :
Make the grated coconut and grind with adding warm water and drain, squeeze the milk. Make it for 2-3 times, so that we can get more coconut milk.
Wash the rice and keep it aside. Heat oil in a presser pan, add  cinnamon, cardamon, bay leaf, cloves.
Add chopped onion, green chilly, ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves, mint leaves and fry well.
Add washed rice and fry a little.
Add coconut milk in 1:2 ratio and close the cooker with lid and leave for 20 minutes in low flame.
After 20 minutes switch off the flame and wait for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, open the lid, stir and transfer to the serving dish and serve hot.

How to prepare Chana masala with brinjal curry

Chana masala is a regular curry. But while preparing with brinjal is very tasty and spicy recipe and in this, i am adding tamarind juice with coconut gravy. While adding tamarind, this gravy will be tangy and the taste will be spicy with tangy. It is the best combination with rice and chapathi. it is different with regular chana curry. Let's prepare the tasty and spicy "Chana masala with brinjal curry".

Ingredient :

Chana black : 1 Cup
Mustard : 1/4 Tsp
Cumin seeds : 1 Tsp
Dry methi : 1/4 Tsp
Onion : 1/2 No
Green chilly : 1 No
Curry leaves : Few
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Chilly powder : 11/2 Tsp
Coriander powder : 2 Tsp
Salt : As per taste
Oil : 3 Tsp
Tomato                  :  1 No
For grind 

Coconut grated : 1 Cup
Cumin seeds : 1 Tsp
Sambar onion : 5 Nos
Method :
Soak the chana overnight. wash the chana and presser cook in leaving 4-5 whistles.
Grind the grind ingredients as a paste. Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard, cumin seeds, dry methi. Add chopped onion, green chilly, curry leaves and fry well. Add sliced brinjal and chopped tomato and fry till the tomato smashed.
Add all the masala powders, salt and tamarind juice stir. Add little water and close the kadai.
After the brinjal cooked, add ground paste and cooked chana and allow it boil till the raw smell goes.
After the raw smell gone, keep it for 5 minutes in low flame and transfer to the serving dish and serve hot.

How to preparer Mushroom pepper fry

Ingredients : 

Button mushroom : 1 Pack
Chopped onion : 1/2 Cup
Chopped ginger : 1 Tsp
Chopped garlic : 1 Tsp
Curry leaves : Few
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Cumin seed powder : 1 Tsp
Pepper powder : As per spicy
Salt : As per taste
Oil                            :   3 Tsp
Method :
Clean the mushroom and cut into small pieces. Heat oil in a pan, add Chopped onion, ginger, garlic, curry leaves and fry well.
Add chopped mushroom, turmeric powder, salt and stir. No need to add water. Close the pan with a lid and keep it in low flame.
After 10 minutes of cooking, add cumin seed powder and pepper power and stir well. We can pepper powder as much we want the spiciness. 
After the mushroom is fully cooked, fry well and transfer to the serving dish and serve hot.

How to prepare Puthina (Mint) rice

Mint leaves:1 Cup
Green chilly:5 Nos
Ginger:Small piece
Garlic:5 Nos
Method :
Grind the grinding ingredients as a paste.
Wash the rice and keep it aside. Heat ghee or oil in a presser cooker, add cumin seeds. After the seeds flutters, add chopped onion, curry leaves and fry well.
Add ground paste and fry. Add cashews and fry. It is a optional.
Add washed rice and stir. Add water in 1:2 ratio and add lemon juice. Close the lid of cooker and keep in low flame for 20 minutes.
Then wait for 5 minutes, then open the lid and transfer to the serving dish and serve hot with raitha.
