Raw banana finger fry \ Raw banana fries

Raw banana is one of my favorite vegetable. I tried different dishes using raw banana. Raw banana koftha balls, raw banana fry, raw banana puttu.. Adding to these dishes, today I tried finger fries using raw banana. It was so amazing and my hubby said, instead of making fish fry, we can make this raw banana fries. It is so nice.
I made this fry after blanch the raw banana pieces with turmeric powder and salt mixed hot water. So that we will not get gastric problem. I cut this vegetable in finger shape. Marinate with some interesting ingredients, soak for 20 -25 minutes and then we have to deep fry it. It is so simple and easy preparation that everyone likes it. Let's see how to prepare the tasty raw banana finger fries.
Basic information :
Preparation time : 5 Mins
Soak time : 25 Mins
Cooking time : 10 mins
Serve for : 4 Persons
Ingredients :
Raw banana  : 2 Nos
Corn flour : 2 Tsp
Rice flour : 1 Tsp
Besan : 1 Tsp
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Cumin powder : 1/2 Tsp
Fennel powder : 1/2 Tsp
Garam masala : 1/2 Tsp
Chilly powder : 1/2 Tsp
Pepper powder : 1/4 Tsp
Ginger garlic paste : 1/2 Tsp
Salt : As needed
Method :
Peel off the raw banana, cut into finger size pieces. Take one bowl of water, boil it, put the cut banana pieces in boiling water adding turmeric powder and salt for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes, drain the hot water.
In a bowl, take corn flour, rice flour, besan (gram flour or chickpea flour ), cumin powder, fennel powder, garam masala powder, chilly powder, pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, salt.
Mix all the ingredients and marinate with drained banana. Soak for 20-25 minutes.
Heat oil in a frying pan, deep fry the marinated banana fingers in medium flame.
Hmmm.. It is ready to serve hot.. We can have as snacks or side dish for sambar rice.

Mushroom Tikka / Mushroom tikka in tawa / Tawa tikka

Mushroom tikka prepared in tawa. Without ovan, i prepared this tikka. It is very tasty and easy to prepare. Normally for chicken tikka, we used to marinate and refrigerate for about 5-6 hours. But for mushroom tikka, I marinate the mushroom and kept only 20 minutes.  After that I fried in tawa. Because mushroom is having a lot of moisture in it. It will capture the masala quickly.  It is a very good starter or appetizer. It was so nice and tasty.
I used button mushrooms, capsicum and onion dices. We can be prepare without onion and capsicum and only with button mushrooms. We can also use colorful capsicums.
Health benefits :
Button mushrooms is very healthy and every one can take because, it is low in calories. I t will help to improve our immune system. One of the important benefits for all the women is, it prevents breast cancer.  Let us see how to prepare the tasty Mushroom tikka in tawa.

Basic information :
Preparation time : 5 Mins
Soak time : 20 Mins
Cooking time : 10 Mins
Ingredients :
Mushroom  : 2 Packs
Thick curd : 1/2 Cup
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Cumin powder : 1/2 Tsp
Fennel powder : 1/2 Tsp
Garam masala : 1/2 Tsp
Chilly powder : 1/2 Tsp
Ginger garlic paste : 1 Tsp
Salt : To taste
Oil : 2 Tsp
Skewers : 5 Nos
Method : 
Clean the mushrooms and blanch in hot water.

In a bowl, take thick curd. Add all the masala powders, ginger garlic paste, salt and mix it well.


Mix washed mushrooms, capsicum and onion dices with the curd mix. Refrigerate 20 to 25 minutes.

Take water dipped skewers, arrange marinated capsicum, mushroom, onion alternatively.

Heat oil in a frying pan, fry the arranged mushroom with skewers in low flame.

Turn the skewers side by side. Fry till it done.

Wow!.. The tasty wonderful mushroom tikka is ready to serve with hot.

Stuffed Paneer fry / Paneer recipes

In star hotels, they will do many different preparations using different ideas. I got one chance to go one of the star hotel. They prepared one interesting food item using paneer. It was so delicious and looks tempted. I used to prepare Lemon paneer, paneer pakoda and gravy items using paneer.Then I decided to try this wonderful dish at home. Wow! it was awesome. All my family members asked, how you are getting these wonderful ideas?.. They appreciated me and every one liked it. It is very good starter or side dish.

For making the panner more tasty, I stuffed some dry fruits with potato and paneer. Before fry the stuffed paneer, we need to dip in maida paste. So that the stuffing and panner will stick together. I made shallow fry the paneer. We can also do deep fry. In shallow fry, we need to turn all the sides till it comes golden brown. We can also prepare restaurant style dishes. It is very simple and very easy to prepare also. I am very glad to share this fabulous dish for you all. Come let us see how to prepare stuffed panner fry.

Ingredients :
Paneer : 500 Grms
Potato : 1 No
Cashew nuts : 10 Nos
Almonds : 10 Nos
Raisins : 5 Nos
Pepper powder : 2 Pinches
Coriander leaves : 1/4 Cup
salt : To taste
Maida : 1 Tsp
Oil : For fry
Method :
Slice the paneer in medium squares. Boil water in a bowl, add paneer slices for softening about 3 minutes.
Boil potato, peel off, smash it. Smash extra paneer with potato. Add finely chopped dry fruits, finely chopped coriander leaves and mix it well. Add pepper powder and salt and mix.
Arrange soft paneer slices in a tray or plate. Add stuffing in all the slices. Close the slices.
Take 1 teaspoon of maida and mix with water to make thin paste. The consistency of paste should not more watery or thick. Dip the stuffed paneer in maida dip. Heat oil in frying pan, make shallow fry maida dipped stuffed paneer in low flame. Turn all the sides to cook till it comes golden brown. It takes 1 Minute to fry 1 side.

Elephant Yam & Raw banana puttu \ Yam & Raw Banana Bhurji

Usually we prepare puttu in Raw banana. This time, I combined raw banana and elephant yam and made puttu as known as bhurji or Shredded raw banana and yam. With raw banana, i will prepare raw banana fry and koftha balls. Using elephant yam, i tried fried yam and i prepared in Kerala style fry called Elissery . This dish is liked very much by all of my family members.
For making this puttu, we need to boil yam and raw banana. As raw banana will cook quickly, 2-3 minutes of boiling is enough. But some of the yam would take more time to cook. If we take fresh yam, it will cook within 5 minutes. It is easy to prepare. We can make with one vegetable itself without combining.  Let us see how to prepare this interesting dish.

Ingredients :
Raw banana : 1 No
Yam : 1/4 Kg
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Oil : 2 Tsp
Mustard seeds : 1 Tsp
Sambar onion : 1 Cup
Curry leaves : 5 Nos
Grated coconut : 1/2 Cup
Salt : As Needed
For grind :
Garlic : 6 Pcs
Red chilly : 7 Nos
Fennel seeds : 1 Tsp
Method :
Grind garlic, red chilly, fennel seeds as course powder type without adding water.
Peel off the yam, cut into medium pieces, Put it in water adding with turmeric powder and pinch of salt and boil. Cut 3 pieces in raw banana and add it into the yam boiling. After 2-3 minutes of boiling, take out the raw banana. After 5-6 minutes take out the yam from the boiling water.
Peel off the raw banana and grate. Grate yam also.
Add the ground masala.
Mix it with grated vegetables softly without pressing it.
Heat 2 teaspoon of oil, add mustard seeds. After the seeds pop, add chopped onion, curry leaves and saute till onion turn transparent.
Add grated yam and banana and stir softly. Add salt to taste.
Add grated coconut and mix it with the puttu.

Snake Guard Rings

In vegetarian meals, normally we used to make potato fry as a special side dish. But when i gone to my sister's house, she made one different fry item as side dish for sambar rice.It was looking very nice and i tasted it...Wow!...it's delicious. I was surprised when i know the vegetable what she used. With Snake guard, she made fry rings. My husband and my daughter doesn't like snake guard. But after eating this fry, they became fans for this vegetable. We can have this fry as starter also. Try this wonderful recipe and get it's amazing health benefits.
Health benefits :
Snake guard is having a lot of water content. It prevents to become dryness in our body. This vegetable is rich in vitamin, minerals... It is very helpful for heart patients, diabetes and it helps to solve the dandruff problem also.

Cooking time : 10 Mins

Ingredients : 
Snake Guard : 1/4 Kg
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Chilly powder : 1/2 Tsp
Fennel powder : 1/4 Tsp
Cumin powder : 1/4 Tsp
Garam masala : 1/4 Tsp
Salt : As Needed
Method:
Peel off the outer skin of snake guard clean the inner part.
Wash it and cut the vegetable as rings.
Mix all the ingredients well with the rings. Soak the marinated rings for minimum 10 mins.
Heat oil in frying pan and fry the rings in low flame.
Fry till it comes golden brown.
Whaahh...yummy ...the wonderful snake guard ring fry is ready to serve..

Baby potato mint fry

Potato fry is one of the favorite recipe for most of us. This time, i am going to make baby potato with mint fry. It is baby potato fry with the flour of mint. It will be very tasty and flavorful. We can make this with cauliflower or broccoli. I have posted in cauliflower mint fry as Gobi mint fry. In this baby potato mint fry, we have to boil the baby potatoes with adding turmeric powder and salt. If we are not boil the potatoes, we can't get the correct consistency. We can have this fry as a starter or side dish for rice items. Let we see, how to prepare the tasty and flavorful Baby potato mint fry.
Basic information :
Preparation time : 15 Mins

Ingredients :
Baby potato : 1/2 Kg
Mint leaves : Few
Green chilly : 4 Nos
Garlic : 3 Cloves
Ginger : 1 Inch
Onion : 1/2 No
Oil : For fry 
Salt : To taste
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Method :
Grind mint leaves, ginger, garlic, green chilies as a paste. Peel off the baby potatoes, half boil the potatoes in hot water with adding turmeric powder and salt. After 5 minutes of boiling, drain the water. Heat oil in a pan, add boiled potatoes and fry it slightly.
Add onion slices and fry. (It is optional). Add the ground mint paste and mix it well.
Fry well till it is fried. Once it done, transfer to the serving platter and serve hot.

Paneer recipe /Paneer Manchurian (Dry)

Paneer Manchurian is prepared with paneer and sauces. It is very tasty and easy recipe to prepare. I already posted Lemon paneer. In this post, i am going to add paneer Manchurian. It is a very good starter. Paneer is having full of calcium. So it is one of the healthy food also. in this recipe, i am not fry the paneer. Simply, i put on hot water for some time for softening the paneer and then i added into the sauces. I tried it dry version. If you want the gravy, we can add more sauce and corn flour water. I am not adding capsicum in this. If we want, we can add it. Let we see, how to prepare the tasty and healthy Paneer Manchurian.
Basic information :
Preparation time : 10 Mins
Cooking time : 10 Mins
Serve for : 3 Persons
Ingredients :
paneer : 250 Gm
Onion : 2 Nos
Garlic : 3 Cloves
Curry leaves : Few
Coriander leaves : Few
Chilly flakes : 1 Tsp
Tomato sauce : 2 Tsp
Soya sauce : 1 Tsp
Salt : 1 Tsp
Oil : 2 Tsp
Method :
Cut the paneer in cubes and add it in the warm water for 3-4 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan, add chopped garlic. Add nicely chopped onion, curry leaves and saute well.
Add sauces and chilly flakes ans salt.
Add paneer cubes after taking from hot water and mix it well.
Add chopped coriander leaves and mix.
After mixing well, transfer to the serving plate and serve hot...
