How to prepare Mixed vegetable curry

Mixed vegetable curry is prepared with all the vegetables. It is very tasty and colorful recipe. When using all the vegetables is healthy and different flavor for the dish. I prepared this in south Indian style with using carrots, beans, and potatoes. We can use cauliflower, green peas and other vegetables also. This mixed vegetable curry goes with chapathy. parota and rice. Let see how to prepare the tasty and healthy mixed vegetable curry.
Basic information :
Preparation time : 15 Mins
Cooking time : 20 Mins
Serve for : 4 Persons
Ingredients :

Carrots : 1 No
Potato : 1 No
Beans : 100 Gm
Butter or oil : 2 Tsp
Onion : 1 No
Curry leaves : Few
Ginger  : Small pc
Garlic : 4 Nos
Green chilly : 2 Nos
Capsicum : 1/2 No
Tomato : 1 No
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Cumin powder : 1/4 Tsp
Garam masala powder : 1/4 Tsp
Fennel powder : 1/4 Tsp
Chilly powder : 1 Tsp
Coriander powder : 2 Tsp
Curd : 1/2 Cup
Salt : To taste
Method :
Wash the vegetables and cut into small pieces. Grind ginger, garlic, green chilly as paste. Heat oil in a pan, add onion slices and fry. Add ground ginger paste and saute well.
Add chopped tomato and saute well. Add chopped vegetables and saute.
Add curd and all the masala powders and saute well.
Add water and keep the curry in medium flame till the vegetables are fully cooked.

After the vegetables cooked well and the gravy became thick, transfer to the serving dish and serve hot.

How to prepare Aloo methi fry / Potato-methi leaves fry

Aloo methi fry is a dry recipe and very simple to make this fry. Aloo or potato with methi leaves fry gives good flavor and different from normal potato fries. For making this fry recipe, we need only few ingredients along with potato and methi leaves. My mother used to prepare this very often and it will be very tasty and healthy also. Adding fresh methi leaves gives protein, vitamin and calcium rich contents. Potato also protein rich vegetable. So this will be the healthiest recipe for all. Basic information :

Serve for : 3 Persons
Ingredients :

Potato : 4 Nos
Methi leaves : 1 Cup
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Chilly powder : 1 Tsp
Cumin powder : 1/2 Tsp
Salt : To taste
Oil : 2 Tsp
Method :
Peel off the potatoes and cut into cubes. Wash the methi leaves well and chop. Heat oil in a pan, add cubed potatoes and saute a little.
Add cumin powder, turmeric powder, chilly powder and salt. Add water to cook the potato and close the pan with a lid.
After the potato cooked well, add chopped methi leaves and saute well.
After the methi cooked well transfer to the serving dish and serve hot.

How to prepare Chicken fried rice


Fried rice is one of the favorite rice recipe for most of us. Whenever i goes to restaurants, i will order chicken fried rice only. It is favorite dish for my daughter also. So i tried it at home itself. It came very nice and my daughter liked very much. For this fried rice, first i have fried the marinated chicken pieces and then made fried rice with cooked basmathi rice. This is very tasty recipe and i am very happy to share with you all. This rice goes with Chicken curry, chicken masala or any thick gravies.

Basic information :
Preparation time  : 25 Mins
Cooking time : 10 Mins
Serve for  : 4 Persons
Ingredients :

Boneless chicken : 1/4 Kg
Basmathi rice : 300 Gm
Oil or ghee : 3 Tsp
Chilly chicken masala : For marinate
Onion : 1 No
Grated ginger : 1 Tsp
Chopped garlic : 1 Tsp
Chopped chilly : 1 Tsp
Capsicum : 1/2 No
Fennel seeds : 1 Tsp
Soya sauce : 1 Tsp
Curry leaves : Few
Coriander leaves : Few
Lemon juice : 2 Tsp
Salt : To taste
Method :
Marinate the well washed chicken with chilly chicken masala powder and keep it for 10-15 minutes.
After the soaked well, fry the marinated chicken. Cook the basmathi rice and make it cool in room temperature.
Heat oil or ghee in a pan, add fennel seeds. Add onion slices, curry leaves, coriander leaves and saute well.
Add ginger, garlic, green chilly, capsicum and saute. Add soya sauce and salt, if we want we can also add ajinomoto (china salt) also. Add cooked rice and saute well. Add lime juice, mix well.
After mixed well, transfer to the serving dish and serve hot.

How to prepare Beetroot chutney

I always preparing beetroot fry only. My husband will not like this vegetable. Then, i tried this chutney, he likes very much. Beetroot is a nutritious vegetable, that it controls blood pressure and increasing the flow of blood. It helps to improve the digestive system because of having high fiber content. If we add beetroot in every week, we can get glowing skin. This chutney is very tasty and it goes with rice, idly, dosa etc. Before grind the chutney, we have to saute the beetroot well till the raw smell goes. I am very happy to share this to you all. Basic information :
Preparation time : 15 Mins
Serve for : 4 Persons
Ingredients :

Grated beetroot : 1 Cup
Grated coconut : 1/2 Cup
Red chilly : 4 Nos
Tamarind : Small ball
Garlic : 3 Nos
Urad dal : 1 Tsp
Mustard : 1/4 Tsp
Salt : To taste
Oil : 1 Tsp
Method :
Heat oil in a pan, add urad dal, mustard. After mustard pops, add curry leaves.
Add grated beetroot and fry well. We have to saute well till the raw smell goes.
After the beetroot saute well, grated coconut, tamarind, garlic, red chilly and saute well. Switch off the flame and keep it for cool in room temperature.
After getting cool, grind the fried ingredients with adding salt.

How to prepare Methy chicken curry

Methi chicken is prepared with chicken pieces and fresh methi or fenugreek leaves. Fresh methi leaves is calcium, potassium and iron rich leaves. While adding this with chicken, it gives nice flavor and very good aroma to the chicken. The taste also very nice and you can get the different flavor. This recipe is colorful and it goes with chapathy, nan, paratha and rice also. This recipe is very interesting for see and taste. Let's prepare the colorful, tasty Methi chicken.

Ingredients :

Chicken : 1/4 Kg
Chopped methi : 1 Cup

Method :
Wash the chicken pieces with turmeric powder well. Grind ginger, garlic and green chilly as paste.
Heat oil in a pan, add onion slices, curry leaves and fry well.
Add ground ginger garlic paste and saute well. Add chopped tomato, capsicum pieces and saute.
Add washed chicken pieces and all the masala powders and salt, saute well.
Add little water and close the pan with the lid.
After the chicken cooked well, add chopped methi leaves and saute well.
Cook the curry till the leaves cooked well and the gravy becomes thick, switch off the flame and transfer to the serving dish and serve hot.

How to prepare Potato finger fry

Potato fry is a very tasty chips or finger fry. This is deep fried marinated finger cut potatoes. It is a simple and quick method of preparation also. I have fried the marinated potatoes without soak. Because,  usually water comes quickly in potatoes. So without soaking it, we can fry. We can have as a evening snack and side dish for lunch. I am adding curry leaves in this fry. It is giving more tasty and flavor. I have also posted potato stir fry recipe. Let's prepare potato finger fry.
Basic information :
Preparation time : 5 Mins
Cooking time : 5 Mins
Serve for : 2 Persons
Ingredients :

Potato : 2 Nos
Curry leaves : Few
Crushed garlic : 1 Tsp
Fennel powder : 2 Tsp
Cumin powder : 1 Tsp
Chilly powder : 2 Tsp
Rice flour : 1 Tsp
Salt : To taste
Oil : For fry
Method :
Peel off the potato and cut into long fingers.
Mix all the ingredients and marinate finger potatoes including curry leaves. No need to soak. We can fry as soon as we marinate. Otherwise, the potato will become watery.
Heat oil in a frying pan, and fry the marinated potatoes. We have to put the potatoes separately. So that it will not be sticky.
After 3-4 minutes of fry, transfer to the serving dish and serve hot.

How to prepare Lemon chicken

A simple chicken starter preparing with lemon juice is lemon chicken. It is a very simple and very tasty starter. We need very less ingredients for prepare this recipe. While adding lemon juice in chicken, the chicken becomes soft and more tasty. I am preparing this chicken with bones. If we prepared with boneless chicken, it will be very nice. My husband likes this fry very much and he appreciated me and i am very happy to share this recipe to you all. Let us see how to prepare the tasty Lemon chicken.

Soaking time : 20 Mins
Cooking time  : 15 Mins
Serve for  : 3 Persons
Ingredients :
For marinate :
Chicken : 1/2 Kg
Lemon : 1 No
Ginger : Small pc
Garlic : 4 Nos
Green chilly : 6 Nos
Pepper powder : 1/4 Tsp
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Salt : To taste
Coriander powder : 1/2 Tsp
For saute :
Onion : 2 Nos
Curry leaves : Few
Green chilly : 2 Nos


Method : 
Wash the chicken pieces with turmeric powder well. Grind ginger, garlic and green chilies as paste. Mix the chicken with ground paste, turmeric powder, pepper powder, coriander powder, salt and 2 teaspoon of lime juice. Keep the marinated the chicken for 20 minutes of soak.
After 20 minutes, add some water and keep in medium flame to cook. After the chicken pieces cooked well, take out from the flame.
Heat oil in a pan, add nicely chopped onions, curry leaves and fry well with adding 1 teaspoon of lime juice.
Add chopped green chilly and fry well.
 Add cooked chicken and fry. Add cut lemon pieces and fry well.
After 5 minutes of fry, transfer to the serving plate and serve hot.
