Baby potato mint fry

Potato fry is one of the favorite recipe for most of us. This time, i am going to make baby potato with mint fry. It is baby potato fry with the flour of mint. It will be very tasty and flavorful. We can make this with cauliflower or broccoli. I have posted in cauliflower mint fry as Gobi mint fry. In this baby potato mint fry, we have to boil the baby potatoes with adding turmeric powder and salt. If we are not boil the potatoes, we can't get the correct consistency. We can have this fry as a starter or side dish for rice items. Let we see, how to prepare the tasty and flavorful Baby potato mint fry.

Ingredients :
Baby potato : 1/2 Kg
Mint leaves : Few
Green chilly : 4 Nos
Garlic : 3 Cloves
Ginger : 1 Inch
Onion : 1/2 No
Oil : For fry 
Salt : To taste
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Method :
Grind mint leaves, ginger, garlic, green chilies as a paste. Peel off the baby potatoes, half boil the potatoes in hot water with adding turmeric powder and salt. After 5 minutes of boiling, drain the water. Heat oil in a pan, add boiled potatoes and fry it slightly.
Add onion slices and fry. (It is optional). Add the ground mint paste and mix it well.
Fry well till it is fried. Once it done, transfer to the serving platter and serve hot.

Udipi Sambar / Sambar without dal

Udipi sambar is a very famous in udipi hotels. This is very tasty Karnatake style sambar. Usually, in South India, sambar is making with toor dal or moong dal. But for making this sambar, we need not add any dal. This is very tasty and mixed with spicy, sweet, salt and tangy... Wow!... what a taste!... this great tasteful sambar is goes with rice, idly, dosa and chapathy also. In Karnataka, at Mangalore, this dish is very famous. Try this wonderful and tasteful sambar and enjoy the good taste...
Basic information :
Preparation time : 10 Mins
Cooking time : 20 Mins
Serve for : 3 Persons
Ingredients :
For grind :
Dhaniya seeds : 4 Tsp
Red chilly : 6-8 Nos
Cumin seeds : 2 Tsp
Grated coconut : 1/2 Cup
For sambar :
Coconut oil : 3 Tsp
Mustard seeds : 1/4 Tsp
Sambar onion : 1/4 Cup
Curry leaves : Few
Raw banana : 1/2 No
Tamarind paste : 2 Tsp
Jaggery : 2 Tsp
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Salt : To taste
Coriander leaves : Few
Method :
Grind the grinding ingredients as fine taste.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. After the seeds pops, add chopped onion, curry leaves and saute well. Add raw banana cubes and allow the vegetable cook.(We can take white pumpkin also).
After the veggie cooked, add tamarind paste, jaggery and mix well.
Add ground paste and add some water. Keep the gravy in medium flame for minimum 10-15 minutes for boil.
Then transfer to the serving dish and serve hot after adding coriander leaves.
 The tasty Udipi sambar is ready with hot rice...Try this different and tasty sambar without dhal and be happy..

Paalak Paneer \ Spinach with Indian cottage cheese - Side dish for chapathy

palak paneer is one of the famous Punjabi dish which is having as a side for chapathy , poori. This is made with palak or spinach leaves with paneer. In Tamil, palak is called as Pasalai keerai. This is having a lot of health benefits. Spinach is a bunch of Nutrients like Vitamins, minerals, etc.. It helps to reduce weight because, it is fat free, cholesterol free and very less calories. It keeps you young hence spinach helps to reduce the old age problems. It will be very helpful for high BP people. Palak paneer is a very tasty dish for all kind of people. A healthy side dish with the combination of green and white color.... Wow!.. Very nice and tasty....Must try...

Ingredients :
To grind :
Spinach : 1 Bunch
Green chilly : 3 Nos
Ginger : 1 Inch
Garlic : 3 Cloves
For Gravy :
Oil : 2 Tsp
Onion : 2 Nos
Fennel seeds : 1/4 Tsp
Tomato puree : 3 Tsp
Turmeric powder :" 1/4 Tsp
Cumin powder : 1/2 Tsp
Garam masala : 1/2 Tsp
Salt : To taste
Paneer : 50 Gm
Method :
Separate the spinach or palak leaves from the stem and allow it to boil with adding 1 teaspoon of sugar and salt. (Sugar is optional.If we add sugar, the spinach colour will not be change).
After the leaves boiled, drain the water and grind it as paste with adding grinding ingredients when getting cool.
Heat oil in a pan, add fennel seeds. Add nicely chopped onions and saute well, till the onion get transparent.
Add tomato puree, masala powders and mix it well.
Add ground leaves green paste and water. Allow it to boil till the raw smell goes.
Cut the paneer and add it in the warm water for 4-5 minutes. After that, drain the warm water and add it in the green gravy.
The tasty palak paneer is ready to serve. Transfer to the serving dish and serve with hot chapathy..

Paneer recipe /Paneer Manchurian (Dry)

Paneer Manchurian is prepared with paneer and sauces. It is very tasty and easy recipe to prepare. I already posted Lemon paneer. In this post, i am going to add paneer Manchurian. It is a very good starter. Paneer is having full of calcium. So it is one of the healthy food also. in this recipe, i am not fry the paneer. Simply, i put on hot water for some time for softening the paneer and then i added into the sauces. I tried it dry version. If you want the gravy, we can add more sauce and corn flour water. I am not adding capsicum in this. If we want, we can add it. Let we see, how to prepare the tasty and healthy Paneer Manchurian.

Ingredients :
paneer : 250 Gm
Onion : 2 Nos
Garlic : 3 Cloves
Curry leaves : Few
Coriander leaves : Few
Chilly flakes : 1 Tsp
Tomato sauce : 2 Tsp
Soya sauce : 1 Tsp
Salt : 1 Tsp
Oil : 2 Tsp
Method :
Cut the paneer in cubes and add it in the warm water for 3-4 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan, add chopped garlic. Add nicely chopped onion, curry leaves and saute well.
Add sauces and chilly flakes ans salt.
Add paneer cubes after taking from hot water and mix it well.
Add chopped coriander leaves and mix.
After mixing well, transfer to the serving plate and serve hot...

Peas potato with coconut curry / Aalu Mater ka sabji

Combination of peas and potato will be very nice and tasty. Today, i prepared aalu  matter with coconut curry. This is one of the South Indian style recipe. It can be have with rice, chapathy, roti and poori. Normally in North India, aalu mater sabi is prepared with onion tomato combination. But i tried this type. In this curry, i am not adding chilly powder for spicy. I am adding green chilly and it will give different taste. Let us see how to prepare the tasty Peas potato curry.

Ingredients :
Green peas : 1/4 Kg
Potato : 2 Nos
Oil : 3 Tsp
Cumin seeds : 1/4 Tsp
Onion : 1 No
Curry leaves : Few
Salt : To taste
To grind :
Coconut : 1/2 No
Fennel seeds : 1/4 Tsp
Garlic : 4 Nos
Green chilly : 4 Nos
Method :
peel off the green peas. Peel off the potato and cube it. Grind the grinding ingredients as paste. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds. Add onion slices, curry leaves and saute well.
Add rinsed peas and potato and mix it .
Add ground coconut paste, salt and little water. Close the pan with the lid till it cooked well.
After cooked the veggies, transfer to the serving dish, add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot..

Sweet corn Tikki / Vada

Tikki is one the very good tea time snack in India. This time, i made tikki with using Sweet corn along with potato. It came very well and it tastes very nice. While eating this, my brother-in-law asked, is this non-veg. We cannot identify the main ingredient, that is sweet corn is used in this. We can feel the different taste. This is prepared with sweet corn, potato, and some interesting ingredients. It is very good tea time snack. We can also have as a side dish for our lunch. We can make this as vada. I am posting that also in this. Let us see, how to prepare the tasty Sweet corn tikki.
Basic information :

Ingredients :
Sweet corn : 1 No
Potato : 2 Nos
onion : 1 No
Grated ginger : 1 Tsp
Curry leaves : Few
Coriander leaves : Few
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Garam masala : 1/4 Tsp
Chilly powder : 1/2 Tsp
Salt : To taste
Oil : For fry
Corn flour           :  1 Tsp
Method :
Take out the sweet corn kennels and boil it. After boiling, crush the boiled sweet corn after getting cool.
Boil the potatoes, peel off  smash it and add it into the crushed corn with all other ingredients.
Mix it well with adding salt.
 Heat oil in a pan, make a shape of corn, potato mixer and deep fry as vada. (This is one type.)
The another type is..... Make corn mixer in tikki or cutlet shape and spread it in the maida flour.
Heat little oil in the dosa thava and make shallow fry the tikkies.
After fried both the sides, transfer to the serving plate and serve hot with sauce or we can have as it is...

Egg Parota (Homemade) Muttai parota

Egg Parota is the famous in Madurai. Whenever we are going to Madurai, we will buy egg parota and have. It is very tasty and we all love to eat this. This time, i prepared this item at home. It came very well. First, i made Kerala parota. Then, i prepared egg parota with making pieces of Kerala parota. This is very simple and tasty recipe that everyone can make it. Let us see how to prepare the egg parota.

Ingredients :
Parota : 2 Nos
Egg : 2 Nos
Onion : 1 Big No
Tomato : 1 No
Ginger garlic paste : 1 Tsp
Garam masala : 1/2 Tsp
Chilly powder : 1/2 Tsp
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp
Salt : To taste
Oil : 3 Tsp
Fennel seeds : 1/2 Tsp
Coriander leaves : Few
Curry leaves : Few
Method :
Roll the Kerala parota and cut into small pieces.
Heat oil in a pan, add fennel seeds. Add Onion slices, curry leaves and saute well. Add ginger garlic paste. Add chopped tomato and saute till the tomato got smashed.
Add eggs and fry well.
Add parota pieces and mix it well. Add turmeric powder, chilly powder, garam masala powder and salt.
Mix it well and add chopped coriander leaves.
After mixed well. transfer to the serving plate and serve hot....
