Boli is one of the traditional dish in India. Mostly we will prepare as prasadham for pooja in festival times. In Navrathri festival, this recipe is served as prasadham. Boli is prepared with maida in chana dal stuffing. It is very tasty and good for health also. We can make with coconut also for sweet boli. We can prepare spicy boli also. That we can see in later posting. Now we can see, how to prepare the tasty Sweet parupu boli.

Making dough :
Mix maida or all purpose flour, turmeric powder (we can use yellow food color also), salt and oil. Knead all these and make as smooth dough. Add some more oil over the dough.
Making filling :
Rinse the channa dal well and cook well. After cooked well, smash the dal.
Heat 1/2 teaspoon of ghee add cooked and smashed dal and mix sugar. Mix it well till it thickens. Add cardamon powder and mix it well. Make lemon sized balls in the dal mix after getting cool.
Making boil :
Knead the dough well and medium size balls. spread the balls in a oil greesed polythene paper by pressing by hand or roller.
Fill the dal filling. Cover the filling by the dough and press it again and make boli.Heat a dosa thava, cook the pressed boli and round some ghee over the boli.
Cook in two sides well. After the boli cooked well, transfer to the serving plate and serve hot.
