Sambhar with Spring onions / Spring onion sambhar

Sambhar is the famous South Indian recipe. I already posted Drumstick,Brinjal sambhar. Today, i tried sambhar with using spring onions. It came very well and it taste is very good. Also using spring onion is helpful to getting more health benefits.
Health benefits :
Spring onions are rich in Vitamins, Proteins. The vitamin C and K in this onion, helps to get a strong bones. We can refer this green onion for the persons who are suffering from bone fractures. Vitamin A and C are having a lot of anti-oxidant properties. It helps to decrease the risk of heart deceases and it prevent high blood pressure. The proteins in this onion helps to have good eye sight. Also it helps to increase the immune power of our body. Spring onion is gluten free vegetable.
Basic information : 
Preparation time : 10 Mins
Cooking time : 15 Mins
Serve for : 4 Persons
Ingredients :
Toor dal : 100 Gm
Asafoetida : small pc
Turmeric powder : 1/2 Tsp
Oil : 3 Tsp
Mustard seeds : 1/2 Tsp
Cumin seeds : 1/2 Tsp
Methy seeds : 1/4 Tsp
Spring onion : Few
Sambhar onion : 6 Nos
Curry leaves : Few
Tomato : 1 No
Tamarind paste : 1/2 Cup
Sambar powder : 1 1/2 Tsp
Salt : To taste
Method :
Rinse the toor dal well and pressure coo it with adding small piece of asafoetida, turmeric powder and 1/4 teaspoon of oil by leaving 3 whistles then transfer to the pot. 
Cut the spring onion in medium sizes. Slice it's root onion. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, methy seeds. After the seeds spluttered, add  sliced onion, curry leaves and saute well.
Add chopped tomato and saute.
Add chopped spring onions.
After saute well, add it in to the  cooked dal. Add sambhar powder, tamarind paste, salt and allow it to boil till the raw smell goes.
After the raw smell gone, transfer to the serving dish and serve hot with hot rice or with any south Indian tiffins.
